About Me.
My name is Marissa Schmidt- and I like art. I am one of those who frightened my parents by insisting I would grow up to be an artist. Through a great deal of resilience and dedication I did. Something raw and unknowable drives me to create. It's in the stories we have told for thousands of years, through trees and nature itself, even through to how in the world purple became a colour. Inspiration is all around and I am always looking to fold it into the next thing that I might be working on- and chances are it might end up here one day.
